THE TRUSTEES

The trustees have wide-ranging and significant powers to manage and control the Fund. These powers and limitations are spelt out in the Trust Deed of the Foundation, in Sections 8, 9 and 10.

 


Robert Donaldson Architect (ARBnsw 2824), F.R.A.I.A. (19291)
The Responsible Person of the Foundation.
Chair of the Architecture Foundation Advisory Committee.
Retired Architect. Formerly Head of the School of Architecture, University of Newcastle.

 

Ian Eckford Architect (ARBnsw 3672)
Hon. Secretary of the Architecture Foundation Advisory Committee.
Design Development Manager, Enerserve.
Formerly foundation director of EJE Architects.

THE FOUNDATION ADVISORY COMMITTEE

 


Ronald Armstrong, Retired Architect (ARBnsw 4482)
Ron maintains an on-going resource that produces a regular newsletter about the Foundation.

 

John Carroll, Retired Architect.
John actively promotes major fund raising activities and gets the promises turned into real currency.

 

John Drake, University Representative.
John manages the long process that results in the selection of the annual scholar. The bridge between the University and the Foundation.

 

John Hoffmann, Retired Architect, previous Chair of the Eric Parker Travelling Scholarship and official Founder of The Architecture Foundation fund.
John maintains the archives and records of the Foundation.

 

Charles Martin, Consultant. Artist-extraordinary.
Charles produces all of the promotional material for the Foundation and artwork for fund raising activities.His paintings are superb and thus highly prized.

 

Walerian Mursa, Retired Architect, previously a director of Rice Daubney, Architects, Sydney.
Wal co-ordinates functions, catering and regular gatherings.
Les Reedman, Retired Architect, previously Assistant Government Architect, NSW.
Les maintains contact with politicians, the media, the R.A.I.A. and other influential organisations.

 

Carol Seymour, Practising Architect. (ARBnsw 6732)
Carol looks after the well-being of the scholars, past, present and future and ensures they are safe, secure and return to Newcastle to study another day.
Jean Williams, Hon. Treasurer of the Foundation. Formerly Secretary to the Dean of Architecture, University of Newcastle. Jean maintains all financial records, pays accounts, banks donations and makes the books balance.

The Eric Parker Travelling Scholars, following their return from their travels and until completion of their studies in Architecture at the University of Newcastle.

 

THE PATRONS

 

Colin Madigan, Retired architect, previously senior partner of Edwards, Madigan, Torzillo and Briggs, Architects, Sydney

 

Ruth Parker. Widow of Professor Eric Parker in whose memory the travelling scholarship was established at The University of Newcastle.
