THE ARCHITECTURE FOUNDATION

The Architecture Foundation (A.B.N. 36 384 968 087) was formally established and registered in October 2006 to attract gifts of money and property, administer and invest those gifts and consequent income and to provide funding to the University of Newcastle in support of the Parker Fellowship, a unique travelling scholarship concept.

The Foundation’s mission is to raise funds, undertake prudent investment of those funds and make grants to the University of Newcastle and thus benefit the nominated award.

In June 2007, The Architecture Foundation was approved as a Prescribed Private Fund and acquired Deductible Gift Recipient status as well as exemption from income and capital gains tax.

On 1 October 2009, the Foundation was re-endorsed as a Deductible Gift Recipient and became a Private Ancillary Fund under a new Australian Government and ATO regime.

As a consequence, all donations and gifts to the architecture foundation are tax deductible.
